Azrai, Noraini, Tokoh Santun

KUALA KANGSAR 20 Dis. - Bergelar anak yatim dan hidup dihimpit kemiskinan, bukanlah alasan untuk gagal dalam pelajaran.

Berbekalkan semangat dan kecekalan untuk 'berdiri sama tinggi, duduk sama rendah', mendorong Azrai Mohd. Noor, 21, belajar bersungguh-sungguh hingga mampu menjejakkan kaki ke menara gading.

Bagi anak muda berasal dari Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan ini, tiada apa yang mustahil untuk dicapai selagi ada kemahuan untuk berjaya dan mencipta kehidupan yang lebih baik demi masa depan.

''Saya tidak mahu menjadikan keadaan diri dan keluarga alasan untuk tidak berjaya dalam hidup," katanya kepada Utusan Malaysia ketika ditemui selepas diumumkan Tokoh Skim Kecemerlangan Pelajar Miskin/Anak Yatim Nasional (Santun) 2009 kategori lelaki sempena majlis penutup program itu di sini malam tadi.

Azrai berkata, ibunya bekerja sebagai operator pembersihan bagi menyara kehidupan mereka sekeluarga dan menanggung segala perbelanjaannya harian.

''Kalau hendak dihitung dengan pendapatan kecil ibu, mana cukup untuk menanggung kami seramai empat orang tetapi disebabkan kesedaran untuk mengubah nasib, menguatkan semangat saya untuk berjaya," katanya yang merupakan anak bongsu daripada tiga beradik itu.

Azrai berjaya membuktikan kesungguhannya apabila dia mencatat keputusan cemerlang Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (5A), Penilaian Menengah Rendah (8A) dan 7A dalam peperiksaan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).

Mendapat pendidikan menengah di Sekolah Menengah Tuanku Mohamad, Kuala Pilah, Azrai kini mengikuti pengajian dalam bidang pendidikan di Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Shah Alam melalui tajaan biasiswa Kementerian Pelajaran.

Sementara itu, tokoh bagi kategori perempuan, dimenangi oleh Siti Noraini Baharuddin, l9, dari Jeli, Kelantan.

Siti Noraini juga berasal daripada keluarga miskin kini menuntut di Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah, Kulim, Kedah.

''Santun sentiasa memberi bimbingan dan dorongan untuk anak-anak miskin seperti saya meneruskan kehidupan. Saya sangat bersyukur kerana masih ada pihak yang mengambil berat nasib golongan seperti kami," katanya.

Siti Noraini berkata, kejayaan terpilih sebagai Tokoh Santun akan menyuntik semangatnya untuk berusaha dengan lebih bersungguh-sungguh.

Anugerah disampaikan oleh Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Jamil Khir Baharom yang menutup program itu.

Program empat hari anjuran Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (Yapeim) itu berlangsung di Kem Program Latihan Khidmat Negara (PLKN) Desa Rimba, Sauk.

Hadir sama ialah Pengerusi Lembaga Pengarah Yapeim, Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman dan Ketua Pengarah Yapeim, Dr. Abdul Malik Awang Kechil.

Sultan Mahmud Mangkat Dijulang-revisited-

Alhamdulillah, we had manged to fulfill all the requirement needed for the component of TSL 520: Teaching english Through Drama. It has been a very laborious activity that needs everyone's commitment without any hesitation.

I would like to thank all of my group members who had been giving their 110% of their level of anxiety towards the huge success of our theater:

The story is being made by me and nafis based on the historical background of Kota Tgi,Johor. Within the Sultan Mahmud's era, Johorian live in peaceful and harmony, up till the attacks of the pirates. Laksamana Bentan was asked to take the troops tp the sea and leave his pregnant wife wit his mother.

The pregnant Dang Anum had been craving for a jackfruit since the day that she bumped into one. One afternoon, Dato Penghulu n Dato bentara Alam was asked to bring the fruit to the palace. Have no hearts to see a woman tears, me(Dato Penghulu) had cut a hole on the fruit and gave it to Dang Anum.

The Sultan pissed off bcoz of that. Dang Anum was slash into 2 and the unborn baby was taken out mercilessly. The Laksamana came back n being told a make story by Tun Bija Ali.

Once he got the real news, he took revenge upon the Sultan at the Mosque of Kota Tinggi in one Friday afternoon. B4 the Sultan died, he had put the cursed upon all the Bentanians who step in the land of Kota Tinggi will vomit their blood till they die.

It has been a great honour to the humble citizens of Negeri Sembilan upon the coronation of the His Royal Highness Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir as the new Yamtuan in the region of Negeri Sembilan. The Dato Undang yg Empat (The Wise 4 Men of the Custom) had chosen Tuanku Muhriz as the newly apointed Yamtuan after the death of Tuanku jaafar (al-Fatihah) by the end of last year.

As a normal citizen that uphold the credibility of the Malay custom and tradition (although that i am Eng oriented), i was really proud to wait the full coronation ceremony from TV1 live from my hostels since 8am in the morning. It was really a wonderful moments to see that the custom of Adat Perpatih had been once again being arise from the land that was my 'tanah tumpah darahku'. I was born in the Biduanda clan, but i have no interest to be any Dato Adat aka Lembago.

I know that with the help of the current state government under DSU Mohamad Hj Hassan, the prosperous of the state wil always been retained. TQ Dato for the new Bukit Putus. We had been waiting for it since the day that i was born in the land of Kuala Pilah.

Hmmm....Ell claimed that one of my post (Interpetasi) was hers...True enough, but that was life is all about....rotating and keep on changing....

Ell....the person that saw u in the crowd(Klu btol ko la) is being a good friend to U....It's quite rare to see a transparent friendship that u can find nowadays without any hidden intention. Make sure that U will always appreciate him, no matter what happens k....

People around me keep on living a very fast pace of life...We had a drama production to be staged on Oct 31 2009 ()Sultan Mahmud Mangkat Dijulang) is my group. Too many things to be done in such a very short period of time. Then 1 more assignment, 1 test and 1 more Listening test that i have to go through with....Allah, please give me the strength to manage all of these....

Going places here and there make me tired, but what can we say...kita hidup muda ni skali jer, so we have to try all of the things that we wanted to do before we are too ashamed to do all that...Among the list would be:

1. Mandi hujan ketika hujan lebat (dulu bogel jer, tapi skrg xblh dah)

2. Tengok TV sampai lebam bijik mata(then mak marah)

3. Bgembira pegi skolah(kuliah....Hmmm....)

4. making friends with all of the people(now we have ego)

5. Eating without thinking our budget(siap boleh menabung lagi dulu....but now???)

6. We are so cute and cuddly(but now i'm cubby...=))

7. and the list goes on......

Things happen in our life, and apreciate all of it k....

Why do we need to clear our minds.....

Hmmm.....i don't know why, but somehow the tension is in the air. Everybody (especially my friends) are having swing of mood no matter what time it was.

For me, i can always tolerate about it as long as it doesnt touch on any sensitive part of me. We live in the same situation, why do we need to enroll in such things???

the burden of boredom are too much nowadays...although that there are bundles of things to be settled at one particular time, but trust me, i am not in the mood of finishing it. WHY??? Well... i cant say much, but it is not easy to do all sort of hings when u miss someone that u love so much.

It has been a couple of weeks since i went back to my hometown, and hopefully nothings come in the middle of this week to interrupt my weekend. And hopefully i can grab a few novels this week.

Adios, i'm off to make my third language video with Su, Ila n milah....
